Let's take a closer look at a key vehicle in Clan Smoke Jaguar's arsenal: the Broadsword DropShip. The Broadsword plays a crucial role in delivering Clan OmniMech Stars to the battlefield. The player's Star, consisting of five OmniMechs, is a core component of the Clan Smoke Jaguars Military's Forces. These DropShips, with their superior clan firepower, work together to insert Clan MechWarriors right in the heart of battle, much like the ancient and inferior Leopard DropShips fielded by the Inner Sphere. Most missions in MechWarrior 5: CLANS kick off with your Broadsword inserting your star into your OZ. Cinematic Sequences featuring the Broadswords expertly navigating the airspace to deliver your Star to the mission's starting point add to the narrative experience and provide key in-game moments.

Our Concept Artist, Alex Iglesias, has updated its design to reflect the advanced technology and power characteristic of Clan Smoke Jaguar. The Broadsword boasts five doors for the deployment of your Clan Star.

Following this, our 3D artists created a massive, detailed model to bring the Broadsword to life in game.

The interior of the Broadsword’s cargo area matches the exterior’s meticulous detail.

High-resolution textures bring the Broadsword to life, with handcrafted details such as wear on the heat shielding from atmospheric entry and scorch marks from the thrusters.

Speaking of thrusters, MechWarrior 5: CLANS thrusts players into the heart of the Clan Invasion of the Inner Sphere—a pivotal moment in the BattleTech universe. MechWarrior 5: CLANS features five-player crossplay co-op on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and PC. Thanks to the Broadsword, all five players will arrive on the battlefield in style and power.
