CLANS MOD EDITOR AND GAME UPDATE

Greetings, Warriors!

We’ve got a big update for you today — This Week we are releasing the MechWarrior 5: Clans Game Update Patch and the launch of the MechWarrior 5: Clans Modding Editor*! (Current ETA is Thursday)

The MechWarrior 5: Clans Modding Editor will be available to download from the Epic Games Store

Unleash your creativity and start building new content for the Clans experience!

Need help getting started?

To kick things off, we will be releasing an official mod alongside the update:

  • MW5: Clans Official Mod – Floating Combat Text - LINK WILL BE AVAILABLE ON RELEASE

Look for it in the Mod Manager.

MechWarrior 5: Clans Game Update

This upcoming patch brings in some highly requested features and improvements to enhance your Clan campaign:

Game Updates

New Game+ Mode
  • Carry forward your mechs, inventory, and pilot progression
  • Mission tonnage limits are removed
  • Keep earning C-Bills and Salvage to further customize your team
  • Difficulty can be adjusted freely
Improved Elemental Orders
  • Issue commands that affect the entire Elemental Point
  • New orders include:
  • Toggle Hold Fire
  • Guard Location
  • Queue Attack Targets
  • Elementals can now be given orders from the Battlegrid
Co-op Pause
  • Hosts can now pause the game for all players via the ESC/Menu or the Battlegrid

Bug Fixes and Improvements


Performance & Stability
  • Fixed an audio memory leak that resulted in crashes on consoles.

Gameplay
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when clients loaded into the Ghost Bear campaign in Co-Op.
  • Fixed VTOLs failing to path correctly from the eastern spawn point on Heavy/Assault in Horde Mode (Starport).
  • Enemy mechs no longer get stuck on the rafters after destroying generators in "Turn the Tables"
  • Fixed an issue where clients could target destroyed towers in "Secure the Summit".
  • Fixed an issue where clients didn’t flow to the Drop Deck menu when host selected a Sim Pod mission.
  • Fixed issues on some mechs not giving appropriate damage feedback in the cockpit

 Controls & UI 
  • Fixed missing names and slow performance in the Credits screen.
  • Fixed various Radial Menu and Battlegrid interactions when switching control configurations on gamepad.
  • Improved localization and corrected spelling for “formidable” and other text issues across UI

 Visual & Cinematic 
  • Improved foliage animation and reduced rendering overhead result in better visuals and smoother gameplay. 
  • Fixed out-of-memory crash at end of "Roaring Advance" cinematic on Xbox Series S.
  • "Justice Comes" archive cinematic no longer uses a placeholder thumbnail.
  • Fixed missing cinematics in the Crusader/Warden post-game sequences.
  • Fixed Aletha’s post-mission text showing "Keshik" with a double I.
  • Corrected “DropShip” capitalization in Hunter’s line.
  • Fixed NIS scene timing in "Kishi Kaisei" so Mia completes her dialogue.
  • Cliff Static Mesh and other collision issues improved across multiple levels.
  • Fixed Falcon Hunt mechs clipping through mountain and floating improperly.
  • Various GPU performance improvements across the game.
